Gate sensors are available in a number of formats and are one of the most widely applicable Orion solutions. A gate sensor is a switch system that can tolerate weather, vibration and the movement or play associated with a typical farm gate. On opening or closing the gate the sensor sends a message to the cloud that is relayed to the farm landline, mobile and email.
Typically these sensors work in conjunction with schedules, so gate use out of normal daylight hours generates messages, not everyday usage.
The sensors use a continuous heart beat and also a tamper alarm to make sure that any attack on the system also generates an alarm notification.
